lyrics

Things were covered by strangeness
Beneath the light

Of a sun setting sky
That lingers inside

The colours they danced
Like whirling balloons

The sky cut by buildings
The orange, the blue

Was if all the world
Was painted by you

Things were beautiful there
We found a bench by the sand
And watched the people go by

Little droplets of rain
Could not make us walk away
We just looked at the sky

And discussed all the questions
That have haunted mankind
Ever since it asked "Why?"

And we found not an answer
Just floating conclusions
But we both like to fly

The sun took to hiding
Behind tiles and concrete
And soon it was midnight
And we forgot to eat

You played with my hands
But you were afraid of the lines
That once made a fortune teller
Refuse to read

The future I had
The day I would die
My life line breaks in two
Then they go side by side

What if it's you
Joining my life?
Things are strange, but less strange
When we're two asking why...
